After parting ways with job as an Israeli newspaper correspondent in 1972 he found a new home in the United States of America. It was in this time that he became a professor at the City College of New York. After four years in New York, Wiesel started his career as a professor at Boston University (Goldman, Horn, and Kerner)9.
